This year&#8217;s insights are below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>92% (98\/106) of active roster Super Bowl LIV players participated in HS multiple sports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>58% Track &amp; Field<\/li>\n<li>54% Basketball<\/li>\n<li>15% Baseball<\/li>\n<li>&lt; 5% Wrestling, Soccer, Lacrosse, Rugby, Volleyball<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The percentage (8%) of specialists and 4 sport athletes are the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8% 4 sport<\/li>\n<li>34% 3 sport<\/li>\n<li>51% 2 sport<\/li>\n<li>8% specialist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>All but 2 position groups (QB\/TE) had 50% or higher HS track &amp; field participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WR: 9\/11 (82%)<\/li>\n<li>RB: 7\/9 (78%)<\/li>\n<li>DB: 14\/20 (70%)<\/li>\n<li>DL: 10\/15 (63%)<\/li>\n<li>LB: 8\/14 (57%)<\/li>\n<li>OL: 9\/17 (53%)<\/li>\n<li>SPEC: 3\/6 (50%)<\/li>\n<li>QB: 1\/6 (17%)<\/li>\n<li>TE: 1\/7 (14%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Active roster players averaged a 3.4\/5.0 <a href=\"https:\/\/tfootballstg.wpengine.com\/why\/player-athletic-index\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Player Athletic Index<\/a> based on high school height, weight, position and track &amp; field data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>49ers: 3.48 | <\/strong><strong>Chiefs: 3.39<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5.0 PAI: 2 (2%)<\/li>\n<li>4.0-4.9 PAI: 13 (12%)<\/li>\n<li>3.0-3.9 PAI: 28 (26%)<\/li>\n<li>2.0-2.9 PAI: 14 (13%)<\/li>\n<li>1.0-1.9 PAI: 1 (1%)<\/li>\n<li>0.0-0.9 PAI: 1 (1%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>No position group averaged under a 3.0\/5.0 PAI
